After an entire childhood of training, Samantha excitedly embarks on her first dragon hunt, which is supposed to mark the birth of her career. Her self-worth is crushed, however, when the hunt turns out terribly and nothing like she would have expected. Knowing that her hunting dilemma could leave her with either a long life of shame or guilt, she takes the first opportunity to escape it altogether. Little does she know that her “escape” will bring additional predicaments about what is right and wrong . . . As a newfound, outside witness to the struggle of being a man in the matriarchy, Samantha also finds herself questioning what it means to be a woman and wanting and struggling to live up to what she concludes.
